PMM Girls’ School Inaugurates New Board of Governors (2025–2028)

Jinja – May 13, 2025: PMM Girls’ School held a vibrant and memorable ceremony on Tuesday, May 13th, to inaugurate its newly appointed Board of Governors (BOG) who will serve from 2025 to 2028. The event, held at the school premises from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, was marked by celebration, reflection, and optimism for the future.

The occasion brought together both outgoing and incoming board members in a spirit of joy and camaraderie. In his address, Mr. Senkwale Emmanuel Rwabose, former Chair of the Finance, Planning, and Welfare Committee, presented a comprehensive report outlining the achievements and challenges faced during the outgoing board’s tenure. He officially handed over the files and responsibilities to the incoming board.

The City Education Office was represented by Mr. Mutakisa Moses, Principal Human Resource Officer. Speaking on behalf of the City Education Officer, Mr. Mutakisa urged the new board to adhere to the Education Act and relevant policy frameworks in managing the affairs of the school. He commended the outgoing board for their dedicated and peaceful service and encouraged the new members to uphold the same values of unity and integrity.

The school’s Headteacher expressed heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing board members, each of whom received a token of appreciation from the school. She welcomed the incoming members and congratulated them on their official appointment and gazettement. Emphasizing teamwork, she highlighted the importance of information sharing and technical collaboration as essential tools for institutional growth.

Outgoing BOG Chairperson Mr. Omara Alfred thanked his team for their diligent service and challenged the new board to continue building on the foundation laid. He urged them to explore partnerships with organizations that can help address some of the school’s pressing needs.

In her inaugural speech, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Board of Governors, Mrs. Kyemba Janet, congratulated her fellow board members and called for unity, cooperation, and timely intervention in school matters. She praised the outgoing chairperson and his team for their tireless efforts and pledged to continue their legacy of service, commitment, and institutional development.

The ceremony ended on a high note, setting a positive tone for the new leadership as they embark on a new chapter in the school’s journey toward excellence.
